1. Guiding Principle

We collect only what is needed to run the service, secure it and prevent fraud — nothing more. Data that is no longer needed is deleted.

2. What We Collect

• Account details: name, email address, verified phone number, and a profile photo if you choose to upload one.
• Vehicle details: make, model, color, plate number and a car photo if uploaded — so the other driver can identify you and spots can be matched to your car's size.
• Location: collected only during an active action — publishing a spot, actively searching, or an ongoing handover. We do not track your location in the background outside of these.
• Transaction data: handover history, payments, credits, ratings and reports.
• Technical data: device type, app version and push identifiers for notifications.

3. Location — In Detail

Location samples from an active transaction (the “approach trail”) are used for GPS arrival verification and dispute resolution. They are retained for 7 days after the transaction ends and then deleted automatically. Location shown to the other driver is rounded and visible only during an active handover.

4. Payments

Card details are stored and processed by an external, PCI-DSS-compliant payment provider. SHAiRE's servers keep only the last four digits, expiry and card brand — never the full card number.

5. Sharing

• With your handover counterpart: first name, identifying vehicle details, and rounded location during the handover only.
• With essential service providers (payments, messaging, hosting) — to the minimum extent required and under confidentiality obligations.
• We do not sell personal data and do not share it for third-party advertising.
• Disclosure to authorities occurs only where legally required.

6. Security

Traffic is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS), passwords are stored as one-way hashes (bcrypt), system access is restricted and audited, and repeated failed logins are locked automatically.

7. Your Rights

• Access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and personal data (subject to legal retention duties, e.g. payment records).
• Opt out of marketing notifications at any time.

8. Cookies

This website uses local storage solely to remember your language preference. We use no tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Minors

The service is intended for licensed drivers aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data about minors.

10. Updates

This policy may be updated from time to time; material changes will be announced in the app before taking effect.
